Winter Training in Vilamoura, POR.

Getting the work done in Vilamoura, Portugal.

While we escape the cold winter back home, we have been very fortunate so far to get lots of hours on the water here in Vilamoura.

The training focuses on boathandling, boat fitness and developing good team communication. This enables us to know each other roles and to be able to focus on making the boat go fast, as well as putting it in the right direction.

We start out our day with a 7:45am run, followed by breakfast and then checking the weather etc before going on the water. Usually we have 3/4 hour sessions, at high intensity and then a gym session or cool down run in the evenings. It’s crazy how fast the day goes, especially when you have to keep the boat work going and the logistics updated.

We will stay in Vilamoura until the end of February, then we will travel north to get ready for the 49th Princess Sophia Trophy, in Palma Mallorca. We are looking forward to the beginning of the 2018 season, though we have still lots of hard hours to do before we are ready to race at the pointy end of the fleet.

Thanks to everyone who supports us and follows us.

Ryan & Séafra.
